Internacional is totally focused in the Libertadores Cup, in which they are to play the semi-final against Tigre, from México. A few days from now they have a 2nd leg semi-final match, so once again they will be playing with a reserve team in the national championship.
This is why Internacional isn’t doing so well in the A Series. They had to play several matches without their usual starting line-up, so the team wasn’t as strong and they have lost a few points in matches which they would normally win.
